Helmut Weidling is a character in Downfall, portrayed by Michael Mendl. He is considered a "good" Nazi as he was very worried about unnecessary civilian deaths and later unconditionally surrendered the city of Berlin to the Soviets in the closing minutes of the film.
In the parodies, Weidling is more serious than the others, as while the others are plotting revenge against Hermann Fegelein, Weidling is more concerned about the real threat: The Soviets. After the Soviet-German War came to an end, he served as a commanding officer for the Reich‘s armies in later wars, such as the Jodl Rebellions, the Brotherhood of Fegelein‘s rebellion, and the War of the Hitlers.
